God Can Make All Things New

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
I want to share a few of the promises in the Bible that are for all who put their faith in Christ based out of Revelations 21:1-4. It was a stirring message we had this week and I painted the picture of our Hope and Future as believers:
· WE WILL BE MADE SPIRITUALLY AND MORALLY NEW. We ARE going to be glorious in the glory of God. We will be made morally pure, fully holy, and at peace in our love of God.
· YOU AND I WILL BE MADE PHYSICALLY NEW. Our earthly bodies that hurt, are disfigured and are less than perfect…they will be re-made “like the body of His glory! You can read further in Philippians 3:20–21.
· WE WILL BE PART OF THE NEW CREATION. Our spirit, morality and bodies will be made new. So, God will re-make the heavens and earth to be free of evil, decay and general mess. It will be a new and clean glorious haven for the body and spirit of His people. It is so exciting to think about; yet the concept is beyond our abilities to imagine, understand and fathom.
· WE WILL HAVE A NEW RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. 2 Corinthians 5:6-7 tells us "While we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord, here we walk by faith and not by sight." In our earthly bodies, we painfully live apart from our Lord. In our new life, we will have a new and closer relationship with God. Jesus promised us he would never leave us, and we will see God. Our love of the Trinity will be greater, fully and even more rewarding. This is a promise to all the ‘good and faithful servants.’
Promises from God! He promises you and I will be spiritually, morally, physically new in a new creation and with a new relationship with God! This HOPE we have found in the scriptures is a direct result of the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So my question is this- do you have this HOPE? If not, let Him be the Lord and Savior of your life and you too my friend will be part of Him making ‘ALL THINGS NEW.’
